Slim Johnson – Host – Slim Johnson is not only an experienced music professional but also a father and entrepreneur as well. From recording music, hosting a podcast & radio show, developing content for his own media platform, he is hands on with the entire process. His work ethic and hustle has allowed him to sustain in the constant evolving industry. He accredits his hustle to various mentors in the industry and also his tenure at Dallas Based Indie Record Label Grifter Records, where he worked alongside Grammy Award Winning Producer Jah Born and in-house production team The Alienz. Their grassroots promotion and guerilla marketing generated a buzz that allowed Slim to learn the business structure early on.


DJ Rooty Red – Host – Female DJ and producer born and raised in the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. Began mixing in the Summer of 2017 and relocated to Dallas, TX in August that same year. DJ Rooty Red’s vision and mission is to continue to create a strong platform for females in the music industry and to also show how to have fun doing it! Rooty has done over 50 events which includes cities like Dallas, Houston, Austin, Chicago, and Miami.


Angelique Garr – Editor – When Dallas born journalista Angelique Garr was only 12 years old, she quickly recognized her love of writing. She has since worked in the tv, music and fashion industries and is a natural at freezing the moment with words. Angelique has interviewed many Hip-Hop and Hollywood MVP’s. “I love meeting intriguing people,” she says. The Country Boys (Frank Lucas’ infamous brothers) and Russell Simmons are only two of her most memorable conversations. Others include 2 Chainz, RZA, Trina, Jadakiss, Styles P, Slaughterhouse, Mobb Deep, Juelz Santana, Talib Kweli, Plies, Foxy Brown, Pete Rock, Bun B, Snoop Dogg and many others.

Angelique discovered her love of writing while interning at Universal Music Group and Interscope Records in Dallas. And although she also has a passion for style and art, hip hop culture remains top priority and undeniable in her life. Other activities that light up her life include writing fashion spreads, singing, movie binging, and teaching positive social media to young teens. She has also served as a social media manager in Dallas/FT. Worth I.S.D.’s and Editor-in-Chief for an overseas distributed print media now out of print.
